Principal's Message

Happy last 6 days of school Panthers!

It's been a busy "short week" and it's only Wednesday. Yesterday, our former Panthers came to Parkmead and participated in the annual "Clap Out." Students got high fives, pictures and autographs from the future leaders of the world! We are so excited for all of them starting their next journey and we are so appreciative that they stopped by Parkmead one last time!

Today, we had our favorite assembly of the year! The BMX crew came back but this time, they had a roller blade professional! If jumping, flipping and tricks weren't enough, how about jumping over 15 staff members at one time! Oh, and there was that stunt where the brave Ms. Tovani sat on a chair while someone jumped over her... Thank you to PERC for sponsoring this amazing assembly.

Would you like to help new families feel welcomed at Parkmead?
We are in need of additional family ambassadors to help welcome our new families. A simple text message, phone call, or invite to a play date can mean the world to so many new families. We are also asking if any families speak a different language to also sign up and help welcome new families whose first language is not English.

Please sign up to help! Be a Family Ambassador

Stay positive Panthers and don't forget to smile!

After you warm up with the WCEF golf fundraiser May 11th, get ready for the return of the Parkmead golf tournament. This year, we will be teaming up with Murwood to make the competition even more fun! Come one, come all!

Volunteer for Field Day!

Field Day is coming up on June 1 (1st-5th grades) and June 2 (TK/Kindergarten). That means a morning of outdoor games and spirited competition between Parkmead classes, capped off with a school-wide popsicle party!

To make this Parkmead tradition a blast for our Panthers, we need volunteers! From set up, to running games, overseeing lunch, and handing out popsicles, there’s a role for everyone!

Want to help keep your child protected from the sun in style on Field Day? Purchase a Parkmead hat before May 29 so we can deliver it ahead of time: Parkmead PERC Store

PRESIDENTS’ MESSAGE - Thank You for an Incredible Year!

As the school year comes to a close, we want to thank you for being part of a community that truly values education. Together, we reached our $1.6 million goal and made an incredible impact across our schools:
  • $575,000 funded art, music, and science lab programs for TK–5 students
  • $240,000 supported 9 electives and a librarian at our middle schools
  • $490,000 funded 13 class sections and a fully staffed Wellness Center at Las Lomas
We also celebrated some amazing community-wide successes this year — over $220,000 raised through Read-a-Thon, $161,000 from Turn Up the Heat, $39,000 from Taste & Toast, and $58,000 from FORE! Education.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of our community and the dedication of our incredible WCEF volunteers, who give so much of their time, energy, and heart to this organization. If you’ve ever considered getting involved, we would love to welcome new volunteers to help support our schools and students. Please reach out at contact@wcefk12.org
And if you haven’t had a chance to give yet, it’s not too late to make an impact. Please donate at wcefk12.org/donate.
Wishing all of our families, staff, and supporters a wonderful and relaxing summer. Thank you again for being part of such a special community.
With gratitude,
Lacie Brown & Inna Raspudic
2025–26 Co-Presidents, WCEF TK–12
